EVENT COMMITTEES

The Chamber's event committees plan, coordinate and implement major special events, including site identification, sponsor acquisition, advertising, etc. These events also provide an opportunity to network with the Chino Valley Community at large as well as with other businesses.

Taste of the Chino Valley Committee (March)

Chair: Judy Conacher, Pharmanex/NuSkin

A special evening of fun, music, and food that brings the community out to sample tastes from a growing number of local restaurants. Vendor booths, performances from local talent, and raffle prizes add to the excitement of this community event that grows in popularity each year. Proceeds from pre-even celebrations and event ticket sales help fund high-school student scholarships, Renaissance Teacher awards, and classroom mini-grants.

Golf Committee (April)

This springtime event is an enjoyable scramble format, played at a beautiful Chino Valley course, and drawing business and community leaders from throughout the area. Camaraderie, business contacts, and sustaining the general operating funds of our non-profit Chamber, are just some of the reasons for a near sellout each year. Sponsorships and door prizes help promote our members and the services we provide.

Business EXPO Committee (October)

This popular event is typical of what the Chamber does best--bringing people together for a day of earnest commerce and lots of family fun. With over 100 exhibitors--from business products and services, health and fitness, to public safety demonstrations, entertainment, food and prizes--this two-day event attracts thousands of people from around the Inland Empire. The VIP event on Friday is an "Invitation Only" reception for sponsors, exhibitors, dignitaries and guests; the Saturday Expo and Faire is open to the public with vendors, kids tent activities, and more to promote and celebrate the Chino Valley and all it has to offer.

Network Connection

Chair: Jamie Harwood, Edward Jones Investments

A forum for the development and exchange of quality business leads for business and professional organizations. Personal referral is the most efficient, cost-effective method of developing new business. Why? Because people prefer to buy from or do business with people they know, or from someone whose work is known. Network Connection meets every Wednesday from 7:00 to 8:30 a.m. at Denny's, 3370 Grand Ave. in Chino Hills (Grand Ave., @ Peyton Dr.) Meeting cost is $6.00 per business member and includes a full breakfast. Bring plenty of business cards, fliers, and prepare a 30-second "commercial" about your business.
