Chino, CA – The Chino Valley Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce that its President and CEO, Zeb Welborn, has been named the Executive of the Year by the Western Association of Chamber Executives (W.A.C.E). The award was presented to Welborn during the annual management conference of W.A.C.E, held from February 13-15, 2023, in Sacramento.
The Executive of the Year award is given to the Chamber executive who has excelled in the areas of financial management, communications, legislative affairs, membership programs, and community services performed by the chamber. Welborn’s recognition is a testament to his outstanding leadership and dedication to advancing the interests of businesses and the community in the Chino Valley.
Welborn has been leading the Chino Valley Chamber of Commerce for a little over four years and has put his heart and soul into the organization. He has been instrumental in the modernization of the Chamber building, hosting job fairs, and the development of programs such as Leadership Development, Economic Development, Workforce Development, and Entrepreneurship development. Under his leadership, the Chamber has received $2.1 million in funding for its Upskill Chino Valley program and CVCC Pitch Competition.
“We are delighted that Zeb has been recognized as Executive of the Year by W.A.C.E.,” said Dave Kilby, President/CEO of the California Chamber of Commerce. “His dedication and passion for building a better community for the Chino Valley and its people are inspiring and have helped create a chamber that is vital to the success of local businesses.”

In addition to the Executive of the Year recognition, Upskill Chino Valley was awarded Outstanding Program of the Year, and the Chamber received an honorable mention for Outstanding Chamber Video. These awards are a testament to the Chamber’s mission of upskilling the Chino Valley and its commitment to supporting its members and local businesses.
“I am honored to receive this recognition from W.A.C.E.,” said Welborn. “This award is a reflection of the hard work and dedication of our staff, board of directors, membership, and community leaders who have supported me and the Chamber in doing great things. I look forward to continuing our efforts to upskill the Chino Valley and build a stronger community.”
