We are delighted to announce the approval of four distinguished professionals to the Chino Valley Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. Their three-year terms will start in July 2025. These individuals bring a wealth of experience and a shared commitment to advancing our business community.

Dr. Margaret Fernandez

Dr. Margaret Fernandez is an advocate for education, workforce development, and economic empowerment. She currently serves as the Dean of Chaffey College’s Chino Campus, where she leads programs that support student success and career readiness. With a career spanning various leadership roles in higher education, she has been instrumental in developing career pathways, workforce initiatives, and business partnerships.

Dr. Fernandez has also held positions at Cypress College, Pasadena City College, Monterey Peninsula College, and Rio Hondo College, where she managed large-scale career education programs and grant funding. Her expertise in workforce development will strengthen the Chamber’s mission to upskill and prepare the Chino Valley workforce for the future.

Anthony Lopez

Anthony Lopez is a highly experienced insurance and financial services professional specializing in employee benefits, group medical insurance, and ACA compliance. As an independent insurance broker, Anthony is committed to providing businesses with tailored solutions that protect their employees and support financial well-being.

Anthony is involved in community service, volunteering with youth programs and local organizations. His passion for relationship-building, business advocacy, and financial literacy will be an asset to the Chamber’s initiatives in supporting business owners and employees in navigating health and financial planning.

Melony Lorenzana

Melony Lorenzana is a dynamic marketing and communications professional, serving as the Publisher of Neighbors of West Chino HillsChino Hills Sports, and Neighbors of North Upland. Through these community-focused magazines, she connects businesses with residents, fostering local engagement and brand awareness.

With a background in sales, branding, and community outreach, Melony has a proven track record of helping businesses establish strong relationships with their target audience. Her extensive experience in customer engagement and strategic marketing will play a crucial role in amplifying the Chamber’s message and supporting local businesses in building their presence within the community.

Robert Quintero

Robert Quintero is an accomplished business and civic leader with extensive experience in government relations, public affairs, and infrastructure development. Currently serving as a Principal at Transtech Engineers, Inc., Robert has been instrumental in providing municipal services to public agencies and cities. He previously held leadership roles at Southern California Edison, where he managed government relations for a vast service territory.

Robert also has a deep history of service, including being the former President of the California Hispanic Corporate Council Leadership Institute (CHCCLI) and a member of multiple professional associations, such as the American Public Works Association and the American Planning Association. His leadership will enhance the Chamber’s efforts in economic development, infrastructure, and strategic partnerships.

Role of the Board of Directors

The Board of Directors plays a pivotal role in guiding the Chamber’s strategic direction. They serve as trusted catalysts and conveners, igniting growth and positive change for businesses and our community. By leading with innovation and fostering strategic partnerships, the Board nurtures a thriving business environment and drives positive regional transformation.​
