CVCC President Honored at W.A.C.E. Conference

Chino Valley Chamber of Commerce President, Zeb Welborn, was honored at the Western Association of Chamber Executives (W.A.C.E.) annual conference in Glendale, AZ, on February 3, 2022, receiving the Russell J. “Rusty” Hammer Memorial Scholarship Award.

The Rusty Hammer Memorial Scholarship Award is named after Russell J. Hammer, who was named Executive of the Year 2002 and served as Chairman of the Board of Association in 200. Hammer also served as CEO for the Sacramento Metro & Los Angeles Area Chambers of Commerce.

The Rusty Hammer Memorial Scholarship Award was established to recognize a Chamber executive who best exemplifies excellence and professionalism, and is deemed to have the potential to be a future leader within the Chamber industry.

Welborn took over the Chino Valley Chamber three and a half years ago, when the Chamber was in a state of financial distress. In a short amount of time, Welborn turned the Chino Valley Chamber around, growing revenue, membership, staffing, and programming, positioning the Chamber as a regional leader.

The Chino Valley Chamber continues to flourish and grow it’s programming. Upcoming programming includes Upskill Chino Valley, which aims to assist businesses in workforce development, entrepreneurship development, economic development, and leadership development.
